I've been a wedding and newborn photographer for the past 15 years.
When some busy life moments and health issues made me face an extremely hard decision: closing down my company, rebuilding myself, being there for my kid, and finding another way to express my creative soul.
I took on cooking, enjoyed it a lot, and was creative in the kitchen. This one passion of mine is still going strong ( check my blog: My cooking blog if you are interested).
My life in a few words :
I was born and raised in France, in a beautiful city named Toulouse.
After welcoming our first son, my husband and I moved close to the Spain border, on the Atlantic coast.
We spent 6 years there, welcoming our second son, gutting and renovating a house, then extending it.
Once construction was finished, we moved to Canada, in 2006.
Calgary was our destination, where we started a new life, with our sons in tow.
2012: we fell in love with the west coast of Vancouver Island, and bought a house in the small town of Port Alberni. We gutted the place, renovated it, and moved there in April 2013.
2014: We moved to the Comox Valley, where we started putting roots in the ground. We stayed a little bit in the house we bought, sold it, and purchased an acreage in Courtenay. As we were about to finally settle down, our youngest son decided to accept the offer from the University of Calgary at the age of 16, so we all moved back to Calgary in 2020 !!
Selling the property in Courtenay was very hard mentally, as we knew we wouldn't have anything on the Island anymore. That to us ( ocean people ) was very hard to live with.
As we were vacationing on Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada), we saw a house for sale, went to the open house, and bought it!
And here we are today, 2 years later, owning our dream oceanfront home in the northern part of Vancouver Island.
The house was small ( 900 square feet), cozy, and was not built to the best of its possibilities.
We thought about it for about a year, then started big renovations, including the extension of the living area, the building of a second garage, and an outdoor kitchen.
